Smart Rusun is a research-driven initiative focused on bringing digital transformation into vertical housing through IoT-powered solutions. Our project is primarily affiliated with Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR), led by lecturers from the Informatics Department, and supported by collaborators from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
We combine expertise from Informatics and Electrical Engineering: Informatics students at UNPAR develop the applications, while Electrical Engineering students from ITB design and test the IoT devices. The team is multidisciplinary, also involving ITB from Information Systems and also Product Design graduated.
Our pilot project is currently implemented at The Jarrdin Apartment Bandung, in collaboration with the apartment’s management body supported by Premium. This real-world deployment allows us to test, improve, and validate our solutions in an actual vertical housing environment.
Together, we aim to build a sustainable smart housing ecosystem in Indonesia, empowering property managers and residents through IoT, big data, and automation.
